Policy Privacy Notice

At Fort Bend Title, it is our policy to adhere closely to the American Land Title Association (ALTA) Best Practices. We believe that following these good business practices not only make us more efficient, thorough escrow professionals, but also protects you, our client. For more information, please visit the ALTA website.

ALTA Best Practice #1: Establish and maintain current License(s) as required to conduct the business of title insurance and settlement services.

Fort Bend Title follows both Texas Department of Insurance regulations and ALTA guidelines regarding licensing and continuing education. In fact, we believe so strongly in the value of staying up-to-date with the latest changes to the industry that attorneys with our sister company, The Holoway Jones Law Firm, also maintain licenses as Escrow Agents, to ensure that you are always getting the best possible guidance.

ALTA Best Practice #2: Adopt and maintain appropriate written procedures and controls for Escrow Trust Accounts allowing for electronic verification of reconciliation.

The most important job that we have at Fort Bend Title is safeguarding your money in escrow funds.

ALTA Best Practice #3: Adopt and maintain a written privacy and information security program to protect Non-public Personal Information as required by local, state, and federal law.

Fort Bend Title takes its responsibility to safeguard your personal and financial information seriously. We do not share your information with any third parties without your permission, and never for any purpose other than closing your transaction. Please see our Privacy Policy Notice here.

ALTA Best Practice #4: Adopt standard real estate settlement procedures and policies that help ensure compliance with Federal and State Consumer Financial Laws as applicable to the Settlement process.

ALTA Best Practice #5: Adopt and maintain written procedures related to title policy production, delivery, reporting and premium remittance.

ALTA Best Practice #6: Maintain appropriate professional liability insurance and fidelity coverage.

ALTA Best Practice #7: Adopt and maintain written procedures for resolving consumer complaints.

While we hope to always close every transaction perfectly, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or questions.
